    Hi everyone,

I’m due to have my reduction (from a 34GG to hopefully a C or D) in the end of July with Dr Max Marcellino, but my family are thinking about going on a holiday in late September 2018 to the Canaries. I was wondering will I have enough recovery time for the soreness, scars and swelling to heal up?

Also what are the best preparations ahead of the surgery?

You may be just about recovered but bikinis wouldn’t be comfortable with your scars plus you shouldn’t be exposing scars to the sun. I’d wait a little longer to be honest.

Best preparation you can do for surgery is make sure you have a button up shirt, it’s easier to put on than overhead stuff. You’ll need a post surgery bra, MACOM are great.

Thanks Zoe, I’m aiming to have surgery in early July instead now. Don’t worry about the sun, I’ll be well covered up as whenever I look at the sun I burn!! Thanks for the advice about MACOM. I’ll start looking at them asap.

Hi I had breast reduction in may 17 and went to vagaries in the August. I was still bloated from the surgery but only realised this in October once my swelling had gone down. I did wear bikinis but was meant to go from an f to a c cup and still wearing a d’s cup but at least I can wear dresses with no bra. I’d say you need at least 8 weeks post p.o. pref more.

Thanks a lot for your advice 🙂 I’m due to have my first surgeon consultation on the 27th February so I’ll see if it’s possible to have my reduction in June instead. I so can’t wait to have this over and done with and to be able to go without a bra occasionally lol 🙂
