The trends, celebrities, the goss from the after-parties – the last four weeks have been full of some major fashion moments. Once again the press, models and fashion girls from over the globe flocked to the fashion capitals as top designers showed off their collections. So, pull up a front row seat for our round-up of all the highlights plus a sneaky peak on what you’ll be wearing in SS16.
Kendall conquered the catwalk.
The model was a hit on some of the biggest runways all over the Fashion Weeks, including Marc Jacobs, Elie Saab and Balmain. With her mother Kris joining her in Paris, Kendall Jenner caused a storm on the catwalk then made an appearance at an after-party or two. All the while looking gorgeous, of course. Jealous? We just can’t get enough of her.
North West is a budding photographer.
Reality TV, fashion, game apps -now photography, it seems that there’s nothing this family can’t do. OK, we’re just kidding but this backstage snap of Kim and Kanye’s two-year-old certainly is cute. Plus, it could be a sign of things to come! Only time will tell whether the toddler hits the fashion scene behind or infront of the camera in a few years to come.
Summer’s going to be a white out.
White is a summer essential for us and from the looks of the SS16 shows, this trend sees no sign of slowing down. Come next spring, the shade will be seen in head-to-toe looks, lace and floaty fabrics. If you’re wearing all white to that summer party, it might be wise to stick to Prosecco.
Florals are still growing strong.
They’ve been a part of the fashion scene for a few seasons now and flowers continue to be a major feature on the catwalks. Delicate, dreamy prints were seen at Calvin Klein, Jenny Packham and Topshop Unique so investing in a few blooming, botanical pieces seem like a pretty safe bet.
Girly glamour is the name of the game.
From frills and ruffles to pretty pink, the runways were awash with soft, flirty fabrics with a ladylike edge. SS16 is definitely the time to get in touch with your feminine side.
Not All MakeUp Looks Are Worth a Try
Sometimes seeing the beauty looks on the runway can inspire us to try them out infront of the mirror at home. But as seen at Gareth Pugh – this isn’t always the case. It’s bound to get you noticed, that’s for sure!
Skinny is Out
It looks like it’s official. Tight-fitting jeans and trousers were practically nowhere to be seen. The cuts on show were baggier and slouchier with wide legs taking over from skinny fit. If you haven’t already, it’s the perfect excuse to get yourself the perfect pair of shoes to peek under those flares.
So, stay ahead of the curve and decide which of these fashion sightings are a must-have in your wardrobe and which are definitely a must-not.
