What happens during your Initial Consultation?

Our FREE consult service allows patients to speak directly to our expert team of advisors face to face or via a secure and private call from the comfort of their own home.

Patients will be given the option of a telephone consultation or a face to face consultation, they can book appointments that fit around their busy schedule and discuss the often personal and emotional reasons they are considering cosmetic surgery, in a place where they feel most comfortable. 

 What happens during an initial consult: 

The initial consult is an opportunity for patients to learn more about the procedure they are considering and a chance for patients to see MYA’s exclusive before and after photos.  

Our dedicated consult Advisors will guide patients through the MYA journey, the costs and payment plans and will recommend the best surgeon for the patient based on their desired result, procedure type and geographical location.  

There is no pressure or obligation to book, our consult Advisors are here to help patients take their first steps, answer any questions and provide a personalised experience.  

Helpful tips and hints: 

  • Check your Patient Portal for any outstanding tasks – you will need to complete your patient medical history ahead of your consult. 

  • Have your passport or driving license ready as proof of ID. 

  • Have a pen and paper ready to make notes. 

  • Research the procedure beforehand. 

  • Ensure you are in a quiet space with no distractions .

  • Ensure you have a strong Wi-Fi connection.

  • You don't need to worry about showing any body parts on camera (you will be examined by your surgeon at a later date). 

  • Ask as many questions as you like – there’s no such thing as a silly question.

  • Join the MYA Forum and talk to likeminded patients.

When will I meet my Surgeon?

You will meet your surgeon at one of our 6 National clinical hubs. During the consultation, your surgeon will run through the procedure, review your pre-surgery photos that you uploaded via our MYA Patient Portal, ask about your requirements and the look you want to achieve and outline any risks and limitations.

This is a great opportunity for you get to know you surgeon and to ask any questions. It’s important that you feel comfortable and confident with the surgeon that you move forward with. Your consultation will also involve taking any measurements, pre-operative photos, discuss implants if applicable, and give you an opportunity to ask any further questions.

What to expect during an Consult?

On the morning of your consult, you will receive a text message and email that contain a link for your consult. Click the link, enter your name and watch a short introductory video. From here, you will be taken to a virtual waiting area where you will then be connected to your consult Advisor. You will be expected to show a form of ID so please have this ready.

MYA consults are designed to help you gain information to make an informed decision. You will still access the same amazing MYA service but at time and place convenient to you. So, make yourself a cup of tea and sit back and enjoy the consultation.

We do ask that you find a quiet space with no distractions so we can give you the best experience possible. Make sure you have a strong internet connection that isn’t going to cut-out, we suggest using Wifi instead of 4G.
