Transgender Awareness Week: The Importance of Accessible, Gender-Affirming Care

For many trans people, cosmetic surgery is about far more than physical appearance. It represents a vital step in affirming identity and building confidence, helping individuals feel at home in their own bodies. Yet, with NHS waiting times for gender-affirming procedures often stretching for years, many are left feeling unseen and unsupported.

Our beautiful trans patient, Erin Raine, told us that her procedure was a deeply personal decision, shaped by her journey as a trans woman and the changes her body went through after significant weight loss.
